"Sailorman" is a dramatic 35mm short, written, produced, and directed by D.P. Carlson. Set aboard a decaying Navy ship on Chicago's industrial lakefront, this father-son story becomes a haunting parable of male sexual abuse — told entirely through the eyes of an 8-year-old boy.  Chicago acting legend Mike Nussbaum (House of Games, Things Change, Men in Black) stars as the crusty WWII Navy veteran who stalks the boy, played by Micah Kanters. The cast also features Chicago character actor Ron Dean (Above the Law, The Fugitive), along with Michael Pomeranz, Michael Gorman, Rich Komenich, Jack McCabe, and Gary Brichetto.
